Exceeding the Maximum Number of Timers

There are eight non-PPV timers and eight PPV timers available. If you try to exceed that 
number, you may see one of the following message displays.

• If you receive the display shown above on the left, you may press the A button to accept 

the message and view the channel or press the C button to cancel the process of setting a 
new timer. You may wish to cancel an existing timer or wait until one is finished. For 
additional information, refer to Modifying or Clearing Timers, page 50.

• If there are still overlaps, you are given the 

opportunity to choose to go Back and 
review/adjust the overlaps manually or let 
Passport DCT resolve it automatically. 
- If you wish to have adjustments made 

automatically, press the A button to 
continue.

- If you wish to go back and make further 

adjustments, press the C button and repeat 
steps 2 and 3. 

• If you do not see the display, the timer 

overlap is resolved. 

Note: If you are unsure which timer to keep, you 

may wish to cancel the one you are currently 
setting and review the timers that have 
already been set. You do this via the Settings 
menu. Refer to Reviewing, Modifying, and 
Canceling Timers, page 79.
