Synchronization Source Setting 

Synchronization of load current with AC input voltage is accomplished in one of two available 

SYNC modes: 

•

 

EXTERNAL SYNC 

•

 

INTERNAL SYNC 

In 

EXTERNAL SYNC 

mode, the user must provide an input SYNC signal to the Analog 

Programming Input BNC terminal of the back panel of the 34M01 single slot mainframe or the 

DB9 connector on the 34M04 four slot mainframe.  
The load will synchronize the current waveform to be in phase with the external SYNC signal.  

Note:

 The external SYNC input signal must have a duty cycle of 50%. 

 
In 

INTERNAL SYNC 

mode, the internal SYNC signal is taken from the sensed input voltage using 

the loads internal zero crossing detection and isolation circuits.
