7.2 Printer Operation
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
The paper roll does
not come out.
Paper is jammed.
Remove the jammed paper.
No paper.
Load a new paper roll.

The printer
suddenly stops
printing.
Paper is jammed
Remove the jammed paper.
Printing is faded or
of poor quality.
Print head is dirty.
Clean the print head. See
“6.1 Cleaning the Print Head”
on page
Print density is not set
correctly.
Adjust the print density
settings.
The paper roll used is of
low quality or is not
approved by the
manufacturer.
Use only approved paper
rolls.
Printer is turned on,
but does not
function.
The host computer or
other peripheral is not
connected to the printer.
Check the cable connection.
The compartment cover is
opened.
Close the compartment
cover.
Printer is printing
but nothing appears
on the paper.
Paper roll may be installed
in wrong side.
Check if the paper roll is
installed correctly.
The paper roll is not
thermal type.
Check if the paper roll is
approved by the
manufacturer. If not, replace
the paper roll.
A portion of the
paper is not printed.
There might be a problem
with the printer
mechanism.
