Front Panel Control
Door Lock
The door lock opens the door for access to the smart storage modules. The system should be
allowed to completely power down if the door is opened to remove or check on drive status. The
user should remove the main power connector from the vehicle CLA if the door is opened. The unit
will remain powered down until the door is closed, and power is restored. If the door is opened
while the vehicle engine is running, while the system is operating in SmartStart mode, the power
plug must be removed from vehicle power before resuming SmartStart operations.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE BOTTOM OR TOP OF THE REMOVABLE DRIVE WHEN REMOVING
IT AFTER THE HEATER HAS BEEN OPERATING IN LOW TEMPERATURES. DURING
OPERATION OF THE HEATER, THE TEMPERATURE OF THE DRIVE MAY INCREASE
CAUSING INJURY.
Drive Assembly
Two removable Smart Storage Modules can be inserted into the Drive Assembly. The Storage
Module can be removed to view the video on the personal computer or utilized in another Recorder.
The door must be open and the power LED must be off with the power plug removed from the CLA
before removing the drive.
Rapid Deployment Kit USB Port
A USB port is provided for updating firmware and modifying the Camera configurations.
LED
POWER: The POWER LED is lit when the unit is On
RECORD: The RECORD LED blinks when the Recorder is recording video.
Mounting the Cameras
Four Ram Mount suction mounting brackets are included within a heavy duty zippered pouch. The
cameras can be attached to the Ram Mounts using the included mounting nut.
WARNING: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT INSTALLATION BRACKETS AND CABLES DO NOT INTERFERE
