Chapter 3 — Installation

Rear Panel Connectors

WARNING: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT INSTALLATION BRACKETS AND CABLES DO NOT INTERFERE

WITH ANY OF THE VEHICLE'S CONTROLS AND ALSO DO NOT BLOCK THE DRIVER

Power Port

CAUTION: Make sure the power supply meets the requirement (9 ~ 36VDC,

30A) during operation.



The Rapid Deployment Kit operates on a wide range of vehicles. It accepts

power inputs ranging from 9 to 36 VDC. This allows it to operate on both 12
and 24 volt systems. The Cigarette Lighter Adapter of the provided power
cable includes a 15 AMP fuse to protect the vehicle and Rapid Deployment
Kit from hardware failures.

Network Port

The Recorder can be connected to a network using the 1000Mb Ethernet
connector. Connect an industrial Ethernet cable with an M12 connector to the
Recorder connector. The Recorder can be networked with a computer for
remote monitoring, searching, configuration and software upgrades.
