4.36 Security

The Security function allows for the configuration of Storm Control, Port Security, Protected

Ports, DoS Prevention, Applications, 802.1x, and IP Security.

4.37 Storm Control

The Storm Control page allows you to setup the units and Preamble/IFG to manage the

occurrence of packet flooding on the LAN and consequent traffic to prevent the degrading of

network performance.

Global Settings

To access this page, click Security > Storm Control > Global Settings.

Select Excluded or Included to setup the Storm Control Global
settings. Excluded: exclude preamble & IFG (20 bytes) when count
ingress storm control rate.
Included: include preamble & IFG (20 bytes) when count ingress storm
control rate.

Apply

Click Apply to save the values and update the screen.

Port Settings

The Port Settings page allows you to configure the port and the type of storm control association

along with the value of the storm rate for the selected port.

To access this page, click Security > Storm Control > Port Settings.
