Pressing
SYS
on the data keypad in Transmission Measurement mode activates
a menu of system-related functions. Use the corresponding softkey to select the
system function.

Options
— Displays a second level menu of options functions
q
Printer
— Displays a menu of supported printers. Use the Up/Down arrow
key and the
ENTER
key to select the desired printer.
q
Change Date Format
— Pressing this soft key changes the format of the
date as displayed in the message area. Choices are MM/DD/YYYY,
DD/MM/YYYY, or YYYY/MM/DD.
q
External Ref Freq
— Allows an external reference frequency to be en-
tered. Enter the desired reference frequency using the keypad or
Up/Down arrow key and press the
ENTER
key.

Bias Tee
— If Option 10, Bias Tee (page 5-7), is installed, this key turns
the bias voltage on or off.

Back
— Returns to the previous menu level.
q
Clock
— Displays a second level menu of clock functions.
q
Hour
— The hour is displayed in an edit box. Enter the desired hour
(0-23) using the keypad and press
ENTER
to accept.

Minute
— The minute is displayed in an edit box. Enter the desired min-
ute (0-59) using the keypad or Up/Down arrow key and press
ENTER
to
accept.

Month
— The month is displayed in an edit box. Enter the desired month
(1-12) using the keypad or Up/Down arrow key and press
ENTER
to ac-
cept.

Day
— The day as displayed in an edit box. Enter the desired day (1-31)
using the keypad or Up/Down arrow key and press
ENTER
to accept.

Year
— The year as displayed in an edit box. Enter the desired year
(2003-2038) using the keypad or Up/Down arrow key and press
ENTER
to accept.

Back
— Returns user to the top-level system menu.
q
Self Test
— Starts an instrument self test featuring battery calibration, mem-
ory, and local oscillator testing. Refer to the Self Test display on page 2-54.
Press the
ESCAPE/CLEAR
key to return to normal operation.

Status
— Displays the current instrument status, including temperature and
battery charge states. Press
ESCAPE
to return to operation.

Language
— Pressing this soft key immediately changes the language used to
display messages on the display. Choices are English, French, German, Span-
ish, Chinese (simplified), and Japanese. The default language is English.
LIMIT
Pressing
LIMIT
on the data keypad in Transmission Measurement mode acti-
vates a menu of limit-related functions. Use the corresponding softkey to select
the desired limit function. Then use the Up/Down arrow key to change its value,
which is displayed in the message area at the bottom of the display.

Single Limit — Sets a single limit value. Menu choices are:

On/Off — Turns the single limit function on or off.
