For 780 nm units, the OTDR Fault Locate test can
be performed if the incoming signal level is detected
(in service test).
Setting the Power Meter Threshold Value
Use the following procedure to set the Power Meter
Threshold value.
To set the Power Meter Threshold value:
1. With the Power Meter Step screen displayed, press
Threshold ( F2 ). The Threshold dialog appears.
2. Use the Left and Right Arrow keys to set the
desired value for the threshold. The Threshold
setting ranges from -0.1 dBm to -40.0 dBm in
0.1 dBm increments. The default value for this
threshold is -30.0 dBm.
3. When the desired value is displayed, press the Set
key . The dialog closes and the red legend on the
Threshold softkey displays the new value.
