On flat grass, if necessary, you can change the position of the wheel to get
a lower cut.
On raised grass, you need to put the wheel in hole "A". If in doubt, contact
your dealer.
7.3.2. Cutting blades disengage
When you move the blade rotation activation lever to the disengaged position, all movement
will stop within five seconds if the setting is correct. If in doubt, contact your dealer.
- Move the blade rotation enable lever to the
disengaged position.
- Adjust the cutting drive cable until it is properly
loose using the adjusting nut.
- Move the blade rotation enable lever to the
engaged position, check the blade drive spring
tension.
- After running a new machine drive belt for
several hours, check the blade drive spring
tension.
Caveat
If you cannot properly adjust the transmission brake, replace the brake pads.
Before inspecting, adjusting, or repairing the unit, disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the
spark plug wire to prevent the engine from starting accidentally.
7.4. Disassembly and replacement
7.4.1. Replacement wheels
Stop the machine on level ground and place a block under a load-
bearing part of the frame on the side where the wheel is to be
changed.
The wheels are held by a snap ring that can be removed with a
screwdriver.
If you have to replace one or both rear wheels, make sure they
are the same diameter and make sure the mower deck is level to
avoid an uneven cut. You need to make sure the key and washer
are securely in place.
Before remounting the wheel, apply grease to the axle. Put the
snap ring and back-up washer back in place.
