Anemoment LLC 24 Data Logger 422 User Manual
An optional user defined tag visually identifies the serial instrument associated with the serial stream
and can be turned on or off for each parameter.
Tags for the parameters coming from connected instruments are controlled by those instruments.
NOTE: The DL422 does not interpret or modify the instrument data.
GPS Data
GPS receivers output multiple NMEA0168 sentences every second. The DL422 receives and
organizes these sentences to show the GPS data as a single instrument in the output data stream.
GPS data is shown in the data stream after Instrument #4.
Time Tagging
An optional time tag can appear at the beginning of each line of collected data.
The time tag is enabled and formatted using the MIM or CLI.
There is an additional option to select millisecond resolution of the time tag.
Data Logger 422 Analog Input Values
The DL422 has two external and one internal analog input channels.
The two external channel connections are described in the sections above that discuss the
connections to the DL422.
The internal channel measures the V_IN voltage, which is useful when operating from an external
battery.
The values displayed in the data stream are enabled and configured using the MIM or CLI.
Data Logger Digital Input Value (including GPS Pulse-per-Second Timing Trigger)
The DL422 has two external digital input channels; these channels monitor on-off type signals.
They can also be configured to be used as a synchronizing trigger input to keep the internal clock in
sync with an external clock.
The most common use for this feature is to sync to a GPS PPS Signal for sampling multiple
stations at the same time using the GPS pulse as the timing standard.
Missing Instrument Data
The DL422 can be set to “replace” missing data from an instrument.
This feature is user configurable and can be set to insert a specific string of data or to substitute the
last good data for the missing data.
This feature is enabled and configured in the MIM or CLI.
