3.7 Testing the stretcher
To check that your stretcher is working properly:
1. Using a marker, draw a horizontal line on your
plastic roll that is 25 cm (10 in.) long.
2. Turn your rotating table approximately one
rotation, and then stop it.
3. When the line is all the way past the aluminum
rollers, measure it on the bale.
If the mark is approximately 42 cm (16.5 in.) long, your
stretcher is working properly.
If the film is not stretching properly, check the condition of
the stretcher gears. Additionally, check whether the plastic
roll and free wheel are turning freely. Clean the aluminum
rollers if needed (see "Cleaning " on page 26).
3.8 Removing the plastic cutter guard
1. Remove the lynch pin that holds the plastic cutter
guard in place (Figure 16).

2. Swing the guard downward.
3. Put the lynch pin back in to hold the guard in the
position shown in Figure 17.
