Figure 13 — Installing the Film Roll
2. Install the new roll between the two supports.
3. Pull the cord to release the end of the upper support
(Figure 13) so that it goes into the roll to hold it in
place.
4. Feed the film between the stretcher rollers (Figure
14 ). First, run the film between the black rubber
free wheel and the nearest aluminum roller, and
then between the two aluminum rollers.
Figure 14 — Installing the Film
5. Pull on the film until you have enough to tie a knot
at the end.
6. Tie a knot and attach the film to the hook near the
plastic cutter, installing it as shown in Figure 15. For
this step, you need to have placed a bale that is
ready to be wrapped on the machine (see
"Wrapping the first bale" on page 17).
Figure 15 — Attaching the Plastic Film
NOTE:
The plastic film can soften if
the rolls stay in the sun too
long. The film will then stretch
too easily during wrapping,
and
holes
or
tears
may
happen more often. Store the
rolls of plastic film in a dry
place away from sunlight.
NOTE:
The stretcher rollers should
always be clean and turn
freely so that they do not jam,
break or tear the plastic film.
If needed, see "Cleaning " on
page 26 to learn how to clean
and maintain the stretcher
rollers.
