9 for connecting the module to the engine:
1 – Keep the engine switch in OFF position during the entire procedure.
2 – Disconnect the positive terminal of the engine battery.
3 – Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and insert there the black wire with the
module’s round terminal. Reconnect the battery’s negative terminal.
4 – Disconnect the engine starter solenoid’s black wire with white stripes (Figure 11.6).
5 – Connect the module’s orange wire (the wire with a double connector) in place of the black
wire with white stripes that you have just disconnected.
6 – Reconnect the solenoid’s black wire with white stripes to the 2
nd
connector of the orange
wire on the solenoid.
7 – Open the connection pack of the engine’s black wire with red stripes. You will have 2 free
connectors, one male and one female (Figure 11.5).
8 – Connect the 2 black wires of the IG-D2 module (1 with a male connector and 1 with a
female connector) to the 2 free connectors (Figure 11.7).
WARNING: Make sure that the engine switch is in OFF position before moving on to step 9 to
prevent the engine from starting during the final connection.
9 – Complete the electrical supply of the IG-D2 module by connecting the module’s red wire to
the battery’s round positive terminal or to the solenoid’s positive terminal. Connect the black
wire to the battery’s round negative terminal or to the solenoid’s negative terminal. Installation
is now complete.
