provides

aspiration

 

of

 

a

 

greater

 

volume

 

of

 

liquid,

 

which

 

is

 

subse-

quently

 

dispensed.

 

This

 

is

 

followed

 

by

 

ejection

 

of

 

the

 

residual

 

volume.

 

This

 

procedure

 

allows

 

for

 

higher

 

accuracy,

 

because

 

there

 

is

 

no

 

residue

 

of

 

liquid

 

on

 

the

 

inner

 

wall

 

of

 

a

 

tip,

 

which

 

otherwise

 

has

 

to

 

be

 

taken

 

into

 

account.
