sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
- WARNING: Unplug or switch off all appliances in the aquarium before carrying out maintenance.
If the connection plug of some appliance or the socket are wet, turn off the main switch before discon-
necting the power cord of the appliances present.
- The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged the appliance should be scrapped.
- Check the voltage on the device label and ensure it corresponds to the main power supply.
- When the device is plugged to the mains, ensure that the lowest part of the lead is lower than the socket,
to avoid any drops of water that are on the lead flowing into the socket. If the cable is wet, do not touch the
plug with your hands and before disconnecting the device, turn the mains switch off.
- We recommend that this device and other electrical aquarium devices should be connected to power
supplies with ground fault circuit interrrupters lnd 30 mA.”
During installing the appliance or maintaining it, please don’t lift it using the power cord.
Before putting the appliance into operation, make sure you have installed it correctly.
Never carry out repairs or technical modifications to the appliance and use only original spare parts.
The appliance must only work in the presence of water and can not run dry. Do not use for drinking water.

Preliminary checks
Checking for damage - Verify that the various parts of the device does not display physical damages due
to bumps, tears or abrasions.
Check in particular:
• That there are no signs or dents, indicative of bumps caused by transport.
• The integrity of the the electrical cables.
Damage Reporting Procedure
If any damage is discovered, stop the connection procedure and report the nature of the damage to the
Customer care office of the manufacturer.”

Installation
Apply to the heater the suction cups with clips, included in the package (Fig.5). Install the heater inside the
aquarium, in a vertical position and in an area characterized by strong water movement (fig2); It is thus
possible to obtain an ideal heat distribution for optimal operation of the thermostat, it is recommended
that the water level does not drop below the minimum line (fig. 1).
TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature, rotate the pin (Fig.4-1) until the graduated scale
indicator is at the desired temperature value (fig.3-A). Connect the heater to the power supply and wait
a few minutes for the thermostat to adjust to the water temperature. The heater automatically switches
on and the indicator lamp (Fig.4-3)) lights up when the water temperature is lower than the setting tem-
perature and goes off when the water temperature exceeds the setting temperature. However, there are
operating and sleep cycles that are not related to the temperature detected, to ensure proper operation of
the appliance and increased water stability in the aquarium. It should be noted that the numeric values on
the calibration scale provide only an indication of the actual adjustment and not the actual water tempe-
rature, which may vary slightly depending on the actual supply voltage, aquarium capacity and Its proper
relationship with the heater power. We therefore recommend adjusting the heater by verifying the actual
temperature reached with a precision thermometer. The table suggests the correct choice of heater depen

can be re-calibrated simply and quickly if found an excessive difference between the
set working temperature and temperature detected in the aquarium. Before proceeding, however, check
that the heater is well sized for the aquarium (Fig.6): if the temperature detected in the aquarium is lower
than the set one, it may not be a calibration problem but the heater is not enought powerful, in this case
you will notice the operating light always on (Fig. 4-3).
To correctly calibrate, proceed as follows: check that the operating light is off (Fig.4-3), this indicate that
the heater has reached the switch-off temperature. Disconnect from the electrical power supply the heater
and all other electrical appliances placed in the aquarium. Wait 3-4 minutes and remove the heater from
the water. Press the reset pin (Fig.3-A-1) and, keeping it pressed, rotate the adjustment ring nut (Fig.4-1)
until the indicator arrow is in correspondence with the temperature actually detected in the aquarium.
Release the reset pin. be re-calibrated simply and quickly if you notice an excessive difference between the
set working temperature and that detected in the tank. Before proceeding, however, check that the heater
is booked sized for the tank from the bathroom (Fig.6): if the temperature detected in the tank is lower
than the set one, it may not be a calibration problem but the supplied one is not powerful, in which case
you will notice the operating light always on (Fig. 4-3). To correctly calibrate, proceed as follows: check
that the operating light is off (Fig.4-3) and indicate that the heating has reached the switch-off tempera-
ture. Disconnect the heater from the electrical outlet as well as all other electrical appliances placed in the
aquarium. Wait 3-4 minutes and remove the heater from the water. Press the reset pin (Fig.3-A-1) and,
keeping it pressed, rotate the adjustment ring nut (Fig.4-1) until the indicator arrow is in correspondence
with the temperature actually detected in the aquarium. Release the reset pin.
The heater requires no maintenance, except for periodically claening the tube of any incrustrations, which could
hinder the thermostat from working properly.
