Cycle and Control Value Programming
NOTE:
Although AMSCO 400 Series Medium Sterilizers are factory-
set to operate using Fahrenheit temperature units, the sterilizer can
be reprogrammed to display and print using Celsius temperature
units.
7.2 Change Cycle
Values
7.2.1 Overview
Refer to
Figure
through
1.
Press the
ON
touch screen pad, if the sterilizer is in STANDBY.
The control advances to Status screen #1.
2.
At screen #1, press the
MENU
touch screen pad, and the control
advances to screen #2; access the cycle values by pressing
CHANGE CYCLE VALUES
.
3.
Pressing
CHANGE CYCLE VALUES
advances the control to
screen #10, prompting the operator to select a cycle to change.
4.
Press one of the displayed cycles, or
MORE CYCLES
to find a
cycle not currently on the display. Once the cycle has been
found and selected, the control advances to screen #11,
showing basic cycle information.
5.
Select the value to change:
•
NAME
(name of the cycle)
•
TEMP
(sterilize exposure temperature)
•
STER
(sterilize exposure time)
•
DRY
(drying phase time)
NOTE:
When dry time is set to 0 minutes (possible for gravity
cycle only), a factory-set routine removes vapor from the
chamber at the end of the cycle without pulling a vacuum.
Minimum prevacuum dry time defaults to one minute to
remove residual vapor at cycle end.

Screen #11 can also be used to enter up to two
CUSTOM
cycles names.
6.
Press the touch screen touchpad; the display advances to a
screen for making these changes.
7.
Once all selections have been made, press the
EXIT
touch
screen pad.
7.2.2 Adjusting Cycle
Sterilize Time and Dry Time
The following selections can be adjusted:
•
NAME:
For changing the cycle type.
•
Prevacuum Configuration –
PREVAC, GRAVITY
or
LIQUID
.
•
SFPP Configuration –
PREVAC, GRAVITY, SFPP
or
LIQUID
.
•
CUSTOM1
and
CUSTOM2
buttons on screen #11 can be
used to enter user-defined cycle names.
NOTE:
When selecting a name, all other cycle values default to
the factory set values for that cycle.
