Routine Maintenance

Operator Manual

8.1  Preventive

Maintenance

Observe all preventive maintenance procedures in the following
pages to properly maintain this equipment. 

 

The following preventive maintenance advisories must be observed: 

1.

Regular service and maintenance MUST be performed only by 
STERIS or a STERIS-trained technician. Any work performed by 
inexperienced or unqualified persons or the installation of 
unauthorized parts could cause personal injury, invalidate the 
warranty or result in costly damage.

2.

Under no circumstances should the equipment be serviced 
without referring to the maintenance manual. The maintenance 
manual can be purchased through STERIS Customer Service.

3.

The maintenance manual includes an Interval Based Check List 
(IBCL) and an Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB). These identify 
proper maintenance intervals and replacement components, 
respectively. The maintenance manual can be purchased 
through STERIS Customer Service.

4.

Preventive Maintenance is essential in keeping the equipment in 
optimal working condition. STERIS recommends establishing an 
annual maintenance agreement with STERIS service.

NOTE: 

Preventive Maintenance is not covered under warranty.

Important: 

Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.

Operator inspections and procedures must be made on a daily,
weekly or as needed basis as indicated in this section and in the
IBCL.
