SETTINGS
The NZ100 system has two (2) link options. These are set by simply fitting or removing the
jumper plug. If removing a jumper link, it is a good idea to refit it to one of the header pins. This
will avoid losing the jumper, which may be required at a later date.
Important:
There is also a link K3 for use during factory testing, this must not be fitted.
5.1 SMOKE ONLY
If link K1 is fitted then the NZ100 will not sense manual call points or thermostatic heat detectors.
This allows the removal of a smoke detector head to initiate a defect instead of an alarm.
If desired electronic heat detectors may still be used on the “SMOKE ONLY” setting as these
operate similarly to smoke detectors.
5.2 GATING
“GATING” is an automatic verification facility to reduce nuisance alarms caused by a transient
condition. When the “GATING” link (K2) has been fitted, the signal from smoke detectors and
electronic heat detectors is verified before an alarm is recognised.
