Activating/Deactivating Directional Lock Mode

Directional lock mode enables the user to easily maneuver the Mobile Patient Bed around
objects and hallway corners when transporting the patient. Directional lock mode can be
activated using the directional lock buttons on the control pendant, backrest, or footrest.

To activate directional lock mode for the back casters:

• press the

(back caster directional lock) button on the control pendant or

• press the button on the patient right side of the footrest.

To activate directional lock mode for the front casters:

• press the

(front caster directional lock) button on the control pendant or

• press the button on the patient left side of the backrest.

When directional lock mode is activated, the active directional lock buttons on the control
pendant and backrest or footrest illuminate.

To deactivate directional lock mode, press any active directional lock button on the control
pendant, backrest, or footrest.

Activating/Deactivating Pivot Lock Mode

Pivot lock mode enables the user to lock the rolling mechanism on the patient right caster at the
front of the bed while the swivel mechanism remains unlocked, allowing the bed to be rotated
under the
