4.1 General
It is recommended that the ‘Emissivity’ and ‘Response Speed’ controls are set to
match the requirements of the specific application and measurement location, before
installation. This is particularly relevant if the thermometer is to be used in a location
which is difficult to access and/or is used in conjunction with a protective jacket and
back cap.
4.2 Location of Controls
The ‘Emissivity’ and ‘Response Speed’ control switches are located on the rear face of
the thermometer. The controls are protected by a screw-on cap (see Fig. 6).
NOTE
To ensure that the electronics of the thermometer are fully sealed against the
ingress of moisture and dirt, the screw-on cap covering the thermometer controls
must be replaced immediately after making any settings or adjustments.
