Typematic Rate Programming, Rate, and

Delay

Typematic Rate Programming enables or

disables the following two options.

Typematic Rate Delay (250, 500, 750, or

1,000 milliseconds) and Typematic Rate (6,

8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 20, 24, or 30

characters per second) control the speed

at which a keystroke is repeated.

When a key is pressed and held down, the

associated character is displayed. After a

delay specified by the Typematic Rate

Delay, the character repeats at the

Typematic Rate. When two or more keys are
