4.6 EDS Data Formats
Input, Output, and Configuration registers are created when the NR60E2 is added to the I/O tree.

4.6.1 Input Data Format
When using the EDS file, the NR60E2 transmits position and velocity data as two 32-bit words. The data is
transferred as eight bytes of data.
4.6.2 Buffering the Input Data
Input data is updated asynchronously to the program scan. The input data should be buffered with Synchro-
nous Copy File instructions to guarantee stable data during the program scan.

When copying input data, the data can be converted from byte to double integer format by specifying a
double integer array as the destination for the instruction. The array must contain at least two double
integer elements. The length of the copy must be one or two. If set to one, only the position data will be
buffered. If set to two, the position and velocity data will be buffered.
