USER INSTRUCTIONS

Hang This Near Your Heater

IMPORTANT

:  

For safe and satisfactory operation, these

instructions should be read and fully understood.

GENERAL:

For continued safe and efficient operation, this heater
should be serviced regularly by a competent service engi-
neer. A full after sales service is available from AMBI-RAD.
Read the warranty and ensure that the heater is operated
within the terms of the warranty. Do not restrict the air
supply to the heater. Maintain free access to the heater for
servicing. (See Required Clearances, Figure 3 on page 2.)

Ensure that the heater is properly earthed.

If the pilot light goes out for any  reason,
allow three (3) minutes before lighting.

If a gas leak is suspected, turn OFF the
gas supply and contact the gas supplier
immediately.

DO NOT USE A NAKED FLAME to
inspect for gas leaks.

TO LIGHT THE PILOT:

1) Turn "ON" the electrical supply to the heater.

2) Set the room temperature controller to the lowest

temperature setting. If a clock control or a sum-
mer/winter switch have been fitted, turn to "ON".

3) Turn "ON" the main gas supply.

4) On the bottom rear of the heater, locate the multi-

functional control valve and the Piezo ignitor knob
(See Figure 1).

5) Depress the knob or button (See Figures 2A and

2B) on the multifunctional

 

control valve; continue

to hold the knob or button depressed while turning
the knob on the Piezo ignitor.

6) After pilot is established, continue to depress the

knob or button for 20 seconds; release slowly.

NOTE:  

On initial start-up, several attempts may be

required to remove the air from the pilot gas supply
line.
