Part Names and Functions
g
I/F. OUT Connector
This cable contains communication signals between the control unit and head unit including head
interlocks and shutter power sensor signals, etc. If this cable is disconnected the marker will be in
the Emergency Stop state.
h
RS232C Connector (D-Sub 9-Pin, Male)
This connector is used to control a RS232 pendant. It also allows the user to communicate via a
simplified 3-wire RS232 implementation using pins 2, 3, and 5 for Received Data, Transmitted Data,
and Ground respectively.
Insert the supplied connector if you do not intend to use it.
i
EXT. I/O Control Connector (D-Sub 25-Pin, Male)
Connector for I/O signals to control the unit from an external device.
Insert the supplied connector if you do not intend to control the unit from an external device.
j
EEXT. I/O Connector (D-Sub 15-Pin, Female)
Extended connector for I/O signals for unit control from an external device.
Used, for example, to select a Start No. from the external device.
Insert the supplied connector if you do not intend to control the unit from an external device.
k
FIBER. OUT Connector
Optical fiber that connects the laser output to the Head Unit. Never allow the fiber bending radius to
decrease to less than 150 mm. Never kink or crush the fiber. Fiber damage will require
refurbishment of the laser power supply. The fiber is shipped installed and aligned in our factory. The
fiber output assembly can not be removed and replaced except in our factory.
l
RF. OUT Connector
For output of control signals to the Q switch in the Resonator Unit.
m
Cooling Air Exhaust
Make sure there is enough space in front of the exhaust port for adequate ventilation.
n
Leakage Breaker
Turns unit power ON/OFF. For protecting unit from overcurrent or earth leakage.
Normally turn it ON.
o
Input Power Supply Connector
For connecting the power cable.
Always turn OFF the MAIN POWER switch before inserting or removing memory
cards.
If the MAIN POWER switch is on when cards are inserted or removed, data may be
lost or the memory card may be rendered unusable.
We recommend backing up your data at periodic intervals to prevent data loss.
(Refer to 12.8 "Memory Card Management" (p. 118).)
Use only the specified memory cards.
Use of non-specified commercial cards may result in aberrant function.
