3 . Name and Function of Each Section on the Lateral Side and Rear Side

EXT . I/O (1) Con-

nector

For MF-C2000A-M/S

, 

used to output signals, e.g., alarm signals and 

monitor judgment signals; and to input signals, e.g., start signal and 

schedule signals.

For MF-C2000A-MC/SC, short-circuited with the LASER IF (1) connec-

tor.  Do not remove this connector.

EXT . I/O (2) Con-

nector

For MF-C2000A-M/S, used to output signals, e.g., alarm signals and 

monitor judgment signals; and to input signals, e.g., start signal and 

schedule signals.

For MF-C2000A-MC/SC, this does not function.  To prevent malfunction, 

do not connect anything.

(9)  USB B Connec-

tor

Used for maintenance only.  Do not connect anything.

(10) RS-232C  (3) 

Connector

Used for maintenance only.  Do not connect anything.

(11) REM . I/L Con-

nector

Connect it to the Remote Interlock for emergency stop.

When this connector is closed, the LD is turned OFF to shut off the laser 

light output.

(12) THMON Con-

nector

BNC connector used to output an analog signal input to the TH connec-

tor between 0 to 5 V (option).

(13) PWRMON Con-

nector

BNC connector used to output an analog signal representing the monitor 

waveform of laser power.  When viewing the waveform of laser output, 

connect to an oscilloscope.

The output range is 0 to 10 V (2000 W = 8 V).  Set the impedance of the 

oscilloscope to 1 MΩ.

(14) CH .I/L Connec-

tor

Used to connect to the chiller.

Detects the chiller operation.  When the chiller is stopped, error No. 200/

CHILLER TROUBLE occurs.

When the dry air unit (option) is equipped, this performs control of the 

chiller.

TH Connector

Connects the cable for the heat detector (option).

(16) R .MNT Connec-

tor

Used for maintenance only.  Do not connect anything.

E-STOP Con-

nector

Used to connect to the Remote Interlock for emergency stop or input/

output Emergency signals.

Connectors

Connects a personal computer to use the external communication function.
