Connecting Cables to the Outdoor Unit

3.4.1

IDU-ODU Cables

Use only Category 5E Ethernet cables from either Alvarion or any of the approved manufacturers,

listed in

. Consult with Alvarion's specialists on the suitability of other cables.

In case of missing information in the manufacturer's WEB site (product specifications, ordering

issues, etc.), it is highly recommended to contact the manufacturer's sales representative directly.

WARNING

Do not connect or disconnect cables or otherwise work with the

Wi² Extender

during periods of

lightning activity.

NOTE

The length of the Indoor-to-Outdoor cable should not exceed 90 meters. The length of the
Indoor-to-Outdoor cable, together with the length of the Ethernet cable connecting the IDU to the
data equipment, should not exceed 100 meters.
