RAIN GUTTER MOUNTED ROOF RACK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Stainless steel hardware may bind together
when tightening
—It is recommended that you
apply an anti-seize assembly lubricant to the
threads of each bolt before assembly

This installation requires two people

Assembly instructions
1. (
Already assembled
) Lift up one side of the roof rack and put
the countersink bolts (70030) through the countersunk
horizontal hole in the roof rag leg, facing outwards away from
the roof. Apply anti-seize to threads and install and tighten
down the nylon locking nuts (70024), make sure they are
securely fastened. Note: Make sure the anti seize is applied
after inserting the bolt so it does not get on the counter sink
surface of the bolt or plate.
2. With someone assisting you, lift up the roof rack and rest it on
the van’s roof, with the mounting legs sitting in the rain gutters.
Make sure the rear cross bar of the roof rack would be even
with the back of the van gutter. NOTE:
—the narrow end of the
roof rack should be towards the REAR of the vehicle
3. If the mounting legs do not fit inside the rain gutters, place a large adjustable wrench on the le
g’s horizontal lip
and push down or up to bend the legs in or out
4. Place the roof rack mounting clips on the bolts (70030) , as pictured, and insert the longer bolt ( 70031) into the
vertical hole facing upwards with a washer (70180) on the bolt head
5. Put washers (700180) on the outsides of the bolts and loosely thread on the supplied nylon locking nuts (70024)
6. Repeat this process for each of the legs that have bolt holes, making sure not to tighten the mounting clips yet
7. Make sure that the rack is in place and level, then proceed by tightening down all of the fasteners until the rack is
secured firmly

do not over-tighten. The mounting clip may deform.
