Pre-start Checks

Pre start-up inspection.
The following Pre-start-up inspection must be performed before the start of each work session or after every four hours of use,
whichever is
¿
rst. Please refer to the service section for detailed guidance. If any fault is discovered, the Pro 600X must not be used
until the fault is recti
¿
ed.
1. Thoroughly inspect the Pro 600X for signs of damage. Check components are present and secure. Pay special attention to the
Drive Belt safety guard
¿
tted between the engine and gearbox unit.
2. Check
À
uid lines, hoses
¿
ller openings, drain plugs and any other areas for signs of leakage. Fix any leaks before operating.
3. Check the engine oil level and top up as necessary.
4. Check the engine fuel level and top up as necessary.
5. Check for fuel and oil leaks.

Petrol Machines
Starting Procedure
• Be sure the fuel tank is full. Use the recommended fuel to run the engine
from
its
instruction
booklet.
• Check engine oil levels .
• Turn the engines stop switch clockwise to the position ‘I’.
•
Open
the
fuel
cock.
• Set the speed control lever 1/3 of the way towards the high speed
position.
• If the engine is warm of the ambient temperature is high, close the
choke lever half way, or keep it open fully. If the engine is cold, or the
ambient temperature is low, close the choke lever.
• Pull the starter handle slowly until the resistence is felt. Return the
handle to its original position and pull swiftly.
• Allow a longer warm up period in colder temperatures.
Operation
• Guiding the trowel on the slab is very simple. Get into the operator’s
position behing the centre of the handle, attain a good footing and apply
the throttle slowly until desired speed is obtained. (A)
• Push handle down and machine will move to the right (B). lift the handle up and the machine will move to the left (C)
• Slightly twist to the left and the machine will move to the left. The machine will remain stationary if you do not apply any force up
or
down.
Stopping the Engine
•
Never use the choke to stop the engine. Leave the machine run at an idle speed for 2-3 minutes to cool down .
•
Move the Gas lever to minimum throttle. Turn the button, which is on the petrol engine, to the OFF position to stop the
machine
lastly.
Electric Machines
Starting Procedure
•
Insert the plug into its place.
•
Select the rotation direction.
•
Put safety/stop switch on “ON” position and turn direction switch on position ”1”
¿
rst. If the machine does not start and just makes a
noise, that shows you select the wrong direction of rotation. Stop the machine switch on to position “2” and continue the same way.
Operation
•
Get into the operator’s position behind the center of handle attain a good footing and get starting. (A)
•
Push handle down to move the machine right (B), lift handle up to move the machine left gently. (C)
•
The machine will remain stationary, it you do not apply any force up and /or down.
Stopping the Motor
•
Put direction switch on “0” position and get the plug out.
•
Do not leave the machine before getting the plug out.
