Goldeye G/CL Technical Manual V4.1.1
Resolution and ROI frame rates
The maximum frame rate achievable with Goldeye G-032 models (in frames per
second — fps) is determined by the ROI size. Calculate the maximum frame rate
using the formula below.
Examples for maximum frame rates possible with Goldeye G-032 models, using a
number of common resolutions, are listed in the table below.
H
ROI: horizontal resolution (width).
The formula is valid if H
≥
128.
For H always use the value rounded up to the next multiple of 16.
V
ROI: vertical resolution (height).
The formula is valid if V
≥
8.
For V always use the value rounded up to the next multiple of 4.
When using the formula, please consider the following:
•
Round the denominator down to the next full µs.
•
Minimum ROI width is 8 pixels, minimum ROI height is 4 pixels.
•
The formula generally outputs very exact values, however when the ROI
approaches its minimum size, the exactness decreases by some degree.
•
Computational limitations of the host and image capture software may pre-
vent the camera from achieving maximum frame rates.
