Troubleshooting the Serial Converter
To clear the event queue
1. In the main menu, press 2 to select Display Event Queue.
2. Press
↑
or
↓
to scroll to 1 > Clr Event Queue.
3. Press
→
or
←
to select Enable, and then press Enter to clear the
event queue.

Viewing and Clearing DF1 Data
If you encounter unexpected communications problems or are creating
an application that uses DF1 data, you can view the communications and
DF1 data in the converter. Parameters 6 through 15 store this data.
In order to view and clear DF1 data, you must access the main menu in
the converter firmware. Refer to
Accessing Parameters in a Converter in
Chapter 3 .
To view DF1 data
1. In the main menu, press 1 to select Display Setup Parameters.
2. Press
↑
or
↓
to scroll through the DF1 parameters. Parameters 6
through 15 contain DF1 data. For a description of each parameter,
refer to Appendix B.

Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW key to scroll
through the parameter list. Press the LEFT ARROW or
RIGHT ARROW key to modify parameter values. Press
the ENTER key to save a new value.
