DP1000 Mods to change Slave A & B connectors into Amp inserts
e.g. To enable insertion of Speaker Processing units
Please note that we have not evaluated this mod ourselves and beware of possible
problems such as :
These signals will be unbalanced
There may be some noise degradation
The returns will not be AC coupled (could cause some pot wiper noise on the amp
level controls)
They are not normalising sockets and hence will need shorting Jacks when no
equipment inserted
Modify the Audio PCB as follows by refering to the component layout drawing :
Insert A :
Remove R5
Cut track at R39 (end nearest LK7)
Wire R39 (end nearest LK7) to R5 (end nearest R4)
Insert B :
Remove R7
Cut track at R41 (end nearest LK36)
Wire R41 (end nearest LK36) to R7 (end nearest R6)
The resulting inserts will be tip send, ring return (not normalised)
To access the audio pcb :
1.
Remove the top from the base by removing fixing screws, disconnecting IDCs
at front and rear and disconnecting green wires at earth stud
2.
Remove audio shield (metal shield approx. 310x110 m.m.) by removing 4 x
M3 nuts and 1 shakeproof washer
3.
Disconnect 2 x IDCs from audio pcb
