2.5 Installation with the ALI-AJ10 Junction Box
The ALI-AJ10 Junction Box provides space for storing and protecting the drop cables and drop cable connectors. it is usually
attached to a ceiling, and then has the adapter plate attached to it. To use the junction box with the camera:
1. Determine how the camera will be powered. The camera can be powered through the Ethernet cable with PoE, or with the
12 Vdc power adapter provided.
2. Determine the best location for installing the PTZ camera. Make sure the mounting surface is strong enough to withstand the
wall mount bracket assembly plus at least 8 times the weight of the camera.
3. In the photo below, notice how the camera locks onto the adapter plate. Loosen the adapter plate lock screw on the side of the
camera base, and then remove the adapter plate from the camera by turning it counter-clockwise.

4. Install the ALI-AJ10 Junction Box using the installation instructions provided. The LAN, power and accessory extension cables
can be routed through the mounting surface or through the water resistent adapter on the side of the box.
