INSTALLATION
Before installation:
•
Make sure that the device is in good condition and all the assembly parts are included.
•
Check the specification of the products for the installation environment.
•
Make sure that the wall or the ceiling is strong enough to withstand 3 times the weight of the camera
and mounting bracket.
•
To avoid fire or shock hazard, use only UL listed power supplies. Verify that the power supply will
provide the rated voltage and wattage for the camera. See the
Specifications
section.
During installation:
•
Camera Lens
: Handle the camera carefully to prevent scratching or soiling the lens. If the lens or LED
array shield becomes soiled, clean it only with mild glass cleaner.
•
Monitor impedance
: Set the CVBS monitor impedance switch to 75 Ω.
•
Camera drop cable
: The camera drop cable includes two connectors:

Video BNC connectors
: For transmission of the video signal across a coax (75 Ω) extension
cable. BNC connectors are labeled for the signal type. Connect the TVI drop cable to an HD-TVI
hybrid video recorder interface, and the CVBS drop cable to an NTSC monitor or a CVBS recorder
video input.

Power connector:
When applying 12 Vdc power, observe the power polarity. The polarity is
marked on the connector.

The ALI-BC1720LPC License Plate Camera feature a progressive scan 720p sensor that delivers HD-TVI high-
definition video resolution over RG59 coax or any standard analog CCTV cabling. This HD video camera is
ideal for license plate recognition.

: This camera does not include a mounting bracket. Contact your vendor for bracket options.
