Meet Browser

The meet browser is an essential part of the software. You can determine the race structure and
enter important information about meeting, session, event and heat.

As soon as you <Create a new meet> you are asked to enter the <Meet name>. The meet name
is used to store your meet. In case you want to use different names for storing and printing, you
can enter a name in the second field <Meet name printed>. This name is used only for printing.
If the field <Meet name printed> stays blank, the meet name is also used for printouts.

You can also enter other information for the meeting that is
also printed. Moreover, it is important that you select the cor-
rect type of sport, as the OPTIc3.NET software has sport spe-
cific settings.

As soon as you create a new meet, a default meet browser is
configured for this meeting.

In most cases the photo finish system is used with a sport
specific evaluation program that can provide the data to OP-
TIc3NET. In this case you can import the complete race struc-
ture from this program.

The meet browser can be displayed in two different ways:

•

Meet structure: The meet structure with Meet, Session, Event and Heat. This structure is

used when the racing data is not taken over by an evaluation program.

•

Heat structure: The heats are arranged according to planned start times. This structure can

only be used if each run has a planned start time. The view is ideal to use
for events that have been imported from another evaluation software.
