Local Area Network

A LAN is a network that operates within a limited
geographical area, usually confined to a single floor,
building, or group of buildings. It connects a variety of data
devices, such as PCs, servers, and printers. Communication
between devices is at a very high data rate, between 1 and
100 Mb/s.

LDAP

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol

LDAP is a networking protocol for querying and modifying
directory services that run over TCP/IP.

interface

The management interface is defined between two
subsystems; a management interface allows you to configure
system components, collect statistics, and treat alarms.

OAM

operations, administration, maintenance

partner
organization

Two organizations that share web service resources over a
secure, configured link that uses web service gateways. Both
organizations create, store, and use each others web services.
In the context of the 8550 WSG, a partner is not the legal
