Cable management arm
The cable management arm is used to separate and organize the
Ethernet cables connected to the ports of the 8550 WSG. Figure
1-9
shows the cable management arm.
The cable management arm is a movable arm that is attached to the
rack at the rear of the 8550 WSG. The arm provides access to the rear
panel free of the cables used to connect to the rest of the network, and
thus allows a smaller footprint for the unit in the rack.
The cable management arm can be mounted for a left-hand swing or a
right-hand swing. When the cable-management arm is mounted for a
left-hand swing, it can be swung in or out without removing the arm or
detaching any of the cables. If you mount the arm for a right-hand
swing, you may need to remove the arm to access some of the
components at the rear of the 8550 WSG.
