7750 SR OS Interface Configuration Guide
Maximizing Bandwidth Use
Once ports are preprovisioned, Link Aggregation Groups (LAGs), multilink-bundles (IMA), or
Bundle Protection Groups (for example IMA BPGrps), can be configured to increase the
bandwidth available between two nodes. Up to eight links can be grouped. All physical links or
channels in a given LAG/bundle combine to form one logical connection. A LAG/bundle also
provides redundancy in case one or more links that participate in the LAG/bundle fail. For
