CRT-300 Basics
This section describes CRT-300 Cellcorder features, including the power up
sequence, main menu, mechanical reset, and test lead connection.
6.1
Power On/Off
To power on the CRT-300, press the green Power key. The LCD screen
displays the Albér logo, the firmware version, and the Main Menu. To power
off, press and hold the Power key until
Release power button
appears.
Powering off does not remove readings from temporary storage.

At power up or power down, a message
may appear:
Readings are in
temporary storage. Save readings to the memory card?
To save cell readings
to the memory card, insert the card and press Yes. Whether you press No or
Yes, data remains in Cellcorder temporary storage. If

the readings from temporary storage?
appears, to clear data from memory,
press Yes; all readings in temporary storage will be deleted.
TIP
: To keep cell data, you must save it before clearing temporary storage.
Shift
- Press Shift to display the
S
shift symbol on the top right of the screen.
Some commands require that you press and release Shift, then press another
key with orange text. For example, to display the Main Menu, press
Shift+Start. The Shift symbol on the screen confirms Shift is enabled.
Esc
- In some cases, the Escape key behaves like the Cancel or Back key.
6.2
Reset Switch
WARNING
: Do not reset the CRT-300 when the AC Power indicator is lit.
Before resetting, disconnect the CRT-300 test leads from any equipment.
A reset switch is located in the battery compartment under the batteries. If
the CRT-300 locks up (no keys respond), disconnect the unit from all
voltages, open the battery compartment, and press the reset switch using a
pointed object. Do not use a pencil, as graphite may get inside the unit.
