Basic Recording and Playback
Recording Clips With The Front Panel
NOTE: To help insure successful recording with Ki Pro GO it is good practice to use new,
high-quality media that has been freshly formatted.
Routing Video and Audio Inputs
Any SDI or HDMI video input can be routed to any or all of the Ki Pro GO's
recording channels. Factory default assignment is one-to-one SDI 1-4 inputs to
Ki Pro GO recording channels 1-4 (USB ports 1-4).
1. If different video routing is desired, press the
CONFIG
button, scroll to
each
Video Input
menu, and select the desired video input source for each
channel (choose one from
SDI 1 -4
,
HDMI 1-4
).
2. If you wish to record audio from the Ki Pro GO's analog inputs instead of the
audio embedded in video input selected above, scroll to the desired
Audio
Input
menu, and select
Analog
.
Recording Clips
1. Route the desired input video and audio to your recording channels (see
above).
2. Insert compatible pre-formatted USB media into the desired Ki Pro GO front
panel USB ports.
3. Press the STATUS button. You can then scroll through the Status menus to
see the current recording parameters.
4. The factory default setting enables recording to all four Ki Pro GO front
panel USB ports. If you wish to record fewer channels, you can press
CONFIG, go to the appropriate
Enable Channel
menus, and select
Disable
for the undesired channels.
5. You can adjust the recording quality level performed by each Ki Pro GO
channel by pressing
MEDIA
, going to the appropriate
Channel Encode
Quality
menus, and choose from
Low
,
Medium
, or
High
.
6. When these Ki Pro GO settings are acceptable, simply push the red
RECORD
button below the display. The USB port LED indicators will blink indicating
recording is in progress. The clip time will be updated on the UI display
during record.
7. Press the
STOP
button to finish the recording. The clip will be stored on that
media with a generated file name specified in the MEDIA menus.

Recording Backup Clips
A separate backup recording can also be created for each clip.
1. Insert compatible pre-formatted USB media into the rear panel Ki Pro GO
USB port 5.
2. Before initiating the recording, press
MEDIA
and scroll to each desired
Enable Channel Backup Rec Dest
menu and select
USB Port 5
.
3. Perform the desired recording on your Ki Pro GO. Each clip recording will
then also record a backup file onto the USB media mounted in port 5.
