BRIDGE NDI 3G Conversion Gateway Appliance v1.0 77 www.aja.com

 

5.  Select Submit. The file uploads to BRIDGE NDI 3G, then the system 

automatically reboots. 

6.  Following the reboot, if prompted, login to the system. The update has now 

been applied. 

Updating BRIDGE NDI 3G Locally from a USB Connected 
Storage Device

1.  Copy the downloaded and unzipped update file to a USB drive. 
2.  Plug the USB drive into a BRIDGE NDI 3G USB port. 
3.  From the BRIDGE NDI 3G Kiosk Interface, go to the System Settings Screen. 
4.  Under the Software/Firmware heading, select Browse. A navigation window 

opens. 

5.  From the left hand OS navigation menu, go to Run > Media > sda1. 
6.  Navigate to the unzipped Software update (*.ajas file) and select it. 
7.  Click Open. The name of the Software update file displays in the field just 

below the Browse and Submit buttons. 

8.  Select Submit. The file uploads to BRIDGE NDI 3G, then the system 

automatically reboots. 

9.  Following the reboot, login to the system. The update has now been 

applied. 

WARNING:   

While updating software, do not remove power.

Refresh, Restart, Shutdown

BRIDGE NDI 3G is an appliance intended to be running continuously. However, if 

you should experience some sort of non-functional state, the following actions 

are available: 

Refresh App -

 Use the Refresh App button to refresh the application. 

Restart -

 Use the Restart button to restart BRIDGE NDI 3G. 

Shutdown -

 Use the Shutdown button to shutdown BRIDGE NDI 3G. 

Network Settings

Please see the following sections regarding Network Settings:

Best Practice

Best practice is to use separate networks, with Media being dedicated to NDI 

traffic. 
Set-up one switch to the Control port in order to connect to the Internet and be 

able to access the Bridge via a web browser. A second switch with a separate IP 

address will be needed to connect your NDI sources and destinations with the 

Media port.
