Chapter 7 – System Setup and Configuration

This chapter is designed for the System Integrator, Facility Engineer or Remote 

Technician who is responsible for setting up the BRIDGE NDI 3G system including:

•  Unpacking
•  Mounting
•  SDI cabling to sources and destinations
•  Joining the system to the appropriate Network for receiving and sending NDI
•  Supplying Power
•  Booting Up
•  Logging In
•  Network Configuration
•  Setting System Host Name
•  Assigning Non-Factory Password

The setup tasks are the same whether BRIDGE NDI 3G is coming from the AJA 

factory, being supplied by a rental company, arriving at a remote location, or 

following a Factory Reset.
For initial setup or following factory reset, use the Quick Start Guide that contains 

the unique factory login credentials for your specific system. The Quick Start 

Guide is a physical document supplied in the BRIDGE NDI 3G product box.

Quick Start Guide Login Credentials

BRIDGE NDI 3G ships with a Quick Start Guide when it comes from the 

factory. This physical document contains the login information for accessing 

BRIDGE NDI 3G for the first time. Do not discard the unique Quick Start Guide, as 

these credentials will be required following any future Factory Reset. If you are 

missing the Quick Start Guide, you will have to contact AJA tech support.
If you are receiving a system that has been used elsewhere and you do not have 

the password that may have been applied, then you can perform a Factory Reset 

and then use the factory supplied password from the Quick Start Guide to regain 

access to the system for set up.

"Performing a Factory Reset" on page 74

  for more information. 

What’s In the Box

Shipping Box Contents

A BRIDGE NDI 3G is shipped with a Quick Start Guide, two (2) AC power cords, 

rackmount brackets provided as part of the chassis, eighteen (18) BNC adapter 

cables, and a USB sound card, provided so that audio can be monitored directly 

on the system. 
As you unpack the shipping box, carefully examine the contents. Ensure you 

received everything and that nothing was damaged during shipment. If you find 

any damage, immediately notify the shipping service and supply them with a 

description of the damage. AJA will repair or replace damaged items.
If you find shipping damage, contact your AJA dealer or distributor for details on 

how to have your BRIDGE NDI 3G repaired or replaced.
