Blackout -
The blackout icon warns you if Video Blackout (Mute) is active (vs there
simply being a black source image). The blackout icon is a green circle with a
black "X" through it.
Test Pattern -
The test pattern icon warns you if the Video Test Pattern is active. It
appears as a green circle with a large black "T" through it.
Tally -
The tally icon is a function of NDI that shows whether the source is being
subscribed to (preview) or whether the source is being taken live (program).
• The preview tally icon is a green circle.
• The live (program) icon is a red circle.
Frame Drop
A counter when you are dropping frames. A number shows up on preview video
tiles counting how many frames are being dropped from the session. This may
be an indication that it's time to Refresh the application from the System Settings
Screen.
Audio Monitoring
For Audio Monitoring, select the Video Tile for the channel/group you want to
monitor.
Audio Monitoring Controls pertain to:
• the dual-channel visual audio meters that can be enabled adjacent to each
Video Tile on the I/O Screen > Canvas and the Individual Channel/Group
Screens.
• the audible analog audio out by the dual channel USB sound card (supplied
with the system) for audio monitoring when using the system via the local
Kiosk interface.
The Control Bar > Monitoring Tab > Audio Monitor controls persist across all
Control Bar Tabs. This is to ensure that the audio controls are within easy reach
whatever you may be working on. As such most of the aspects covered here
apply across all Control Bar Tabs.
Figure 30. Audio Monitor (lower right corner) indicating that audio channels 1
and 2 are being monitored.
IMPORTANT: Audio Monitoring controls only affect visual and audible audio monitoring.
Changes to the Audio Monitoring Controls will never affect the SDI or NDI Audio
I/O.
MultiChannel Audio Meter
On the Monitoring Tab only, immediately to the left of the Audio Monitor controls
is a MultiChannel Audio Meter. This display is not affected by Audio Monitoring
controls, as it is showing the actual NDI/SDI audio I/O on the system, which is
never affected by the Audio Monitoring Controls.
