53. Secure the X mount to the motor using the 4 small bolts supplied with the motor. Reminder—ALL bolts in this section should
get a drop of blue Loctite!
54. If your motor did not come with bullet connectors installed, solder those on now. Don’t forget to use heat-shrink on each one
to prevent shorts.
55. If using the recommended Hacker A60-5S, attach the X mount to the firewall using the supplied hex-head bolts into the pre-
installed blind nuts on the firewall. If using another motor, the mount may not match up to the pre-drilled holes. In that case,
use the supplied mounting template for your motor and rotate 30-45 degrees. Note that you may also need to get different
length offsets depending on your motor length. Test fit the cowl for clearance. You will need 6” from the motor box to spinner.
56. Use nylon zip ties to secure the ESC to the bottom or side of the motor box. We recommend putting a small piece of foam be-
tween the ESC and motor box to dampen vibrations.
57. An extra zip tie with a piece of large fuel tubing can be used to secure the 3 motor wires to the motor box to ensure they can’t
move or disconnect in flight. The fuel tubing will keep the zip tie from chaffing the wires.
58. Place the hook side of the Velcro to the battery tray, and the other half to your battery. We also HIGHLY recommend using at
least 1 Velcro strap around your battery & the tray to prevent it from being ejected during high G maneuvers.
59. To mount the cowl, begin by poking or cutting the covering from the 4 mounting tabs and taping a piece of paper to each side
