WORK AREA & PERSONAL SAFETY

Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas increases accidents.
•
Ensure all connections and couplings are secure and hold the open end of the hose firmly to avoid
uncont
rolled “whipping” of the hose.
•
Adjust the air regulator on your compressor to reduce the air pressure to meet the tool requirements.
•
Ensure the air compressor are equipped with a pressure gauge, safety release valve and a pressure gauge
valve located at the bottom of the compressor.
•
Never use compressed air near flammable liquids.
•
Stay alert, consider what you are doing when operating an air tool. Poor attention while operating an air tool
may result in serious personal injury.
•
Do not overreach. Proper footing and balance is crucial at all times as this enables better control of the tool.
•
Flying particles and debris can result in eye injuries, cuts/scrapes or other significant injuries to almost any
body part, use the correct personal safety equipment for every job.

Never point the nozzle of any tool or air hose at any person or object apart for those that are part of the
project.
•
Keep children and animals away. Be aware of who is in your work area.
•
Store equipment safely. Keep air tools locked away in a dry location, away from children.
•
Always wear proper safety gear.
•
Use compressed air only for the work it is intended for.
•
Wear a respirator mask to protect against the inhalation of dust/fumes.
•
Never spray paint or oil close to a source of heat or flame.
•
Work in a fully ventilated area with access to fresh air.
