7. TETRA Group Communication
Group calls are immediate communication between talk group members. The
call is connected without you having to answer it.
The TETRA group communication is based on TETRA talk groups, which are
defined by your organisation.
TETRA Talk Groups
Your organisation has pre-configured the talk groups and group folders to
your device. One group folder in the selected folder that is an active folder.
Group communication is received from the scanned groups of this folder
including the selected group, if these groups are available.
Background groups are groups that are configured to the device, but they are
not shown in any group list. The background groups are always scanned,
even if scanning is set off, and they have the highest scanning priority.
Receiving a group call from a background group interrupts any normal group
call.
Groups are managed in Tactilon Dabat by using the
TETRA Talk Groups
app.
Changing the selected folder
1. Open the
TETRA Talk Groups
app.
The folders are listed in the defined order in the
view. The selected
folder is marked with a green bar.
2. Change the selected folder by pressing an unselected folder’s name in the
list.
3. Confirm whether you want to change the selected folder by tapping either
Yes
or
No
.
If you confirm the change, the new folder is marked selected in the folder
list and shown as the selected folder in PMR Status Bar.
