2.7 Specific hazards
2.7.1 Electricity
Work on the electrical system may only be performed by qualified staff.
– In the case of fault messages or damage to the unit, contact the maintenance service (see
→Maintenance services).
WARNING
Contact with live parts may cause electric shock.
Risk of fire due to sparks or overloading.
▪ Do not connect any damaged unit or damaged parts (e.g. connection cables) to the power sup-
ply.
▪ Check the safety devices for completeness and functionality.
▪ Guards and covers on the unit must not be removed.
▪ Before connecting to power supply, note the following:
- Applicable local electrical safety regulations.
- Applicable standards and safety notices.
- Information on the serial plate (see →Serial plate and serial number).
- The network voltage and the network frequency must match the specifications on the serial
plate.
▪ In the case of damage to the unit during operation and before maintenance work, observe the
following safety rules:
1. Disconnect the unit (switch off all pins on all sides).
2. Secure the unit against restarting.
▪ Damaged parts must be replaced only by qualified staff e.g.: connection cables, changing of
lamps (see →Changing the lamps)
▪ Do not squeeze or bend connection cables.
▪ Do not use extension cords or multiple power strips.
▪ Steam or high-pressure cleaners may not be used for basic cleaning.
▪ Concealed electrical parts must not be damaged. Drilling or other work on the unit is not permit-
ted.
2.7.2 Refrigerant circuit
– Work on the refrigerant circuit may only be performed by qualified staff.
– In the case of fault messages or damage to the unit, contact the maintenance service (see
→Maintenance services).
