  AhnLab TrusGuard Installation Guide

Overview

Who installs AhnLab TrusGuard?

AhnLab TrusGuard can only be installed by engineers approved by AhnLab. During the installation 

process, you must enter the license in the form of encoded character strings. You can only use AhnLab 

TrusGuard after inspecting the state and operation of the device.

Managing Installed Device

The user and network administrator are responsible for the security of AhnLab TrusGuard. When 

requested and approved by the administrator, the engineer who installed AhnLab TrusGuard must 

provide technical support according to the network environment and initialize the system. The 

network engineer shall not be responsible for any problem caused by wrong information provided by 

the administrator. 

Installation Steps

AhnLab TrusGuard installation is divided into physical installation of the device, and system settings. 

For methods on setting the policies, refer to Help or Administrator’s Guide.

Start physically installing the device only if your network environment is simple or security policies 

are complex.

If your network environment or security policies are complex, start with the system settings first 

before physically installing the device.

Internet connection is needed to set the system, for signature and V3 engine update.

 

Note

You can also manage your system remotely using TrusGuard Manager.
