8.2.7 How to automate Sensor Supply and Settling Time
ALMEMO
®
Sensors that are powered via the sensor supply of the
ALMEMO
®
wireless interface will possibly consume permanently a lot
of current. To save energy and to extend the battery life, the sensor
supply can be switched off whenever no measured values are
queried from the ALMEMO
®
sensor.
For sensors that require some time for the transient oscillation before
a measured value can be queried, a settling time can be set.
To extend the battery life during sleep mode, the sensor supply will
be automated by default as soon as the sleep mode is enabled for a
wireless ALMEMO
®
interface. If required, the sensor supply can be
permanently provided despite enabled sleep mode.
1. In the home screen, tap on Sensor overview
.
2. Tap on the arrow at the end of the line of the wireless sensor, of which
you want to automate the power supply.
3. Tap on
Power settings.
4. Tap on the button next to
Sensor supply permanently
, so that the
button is grey and contains the word OFF.
➢
The sensor of the ALMEMO
®
sensor will only be supplied via the
sensor supply when a measured value is queried.
5. Tap on the field next to
Settling time
.
6. Enter the desired settling time.
7. Tap on OK.
➢
During an automated query the sensor of the ALMEMO
®
probe will
now be supplied for the set settling time before the query and during
the measured value query by the sensor supply.
8.2.8 How to find the Software Version of the Wireless
Sensor
!
The wireless sensor needs to be connected to the data logger.
1. In the home screen, tab on Sensor overview
.
