- The boom can only be folded out or in at the maximum upper position. The rubber limit switch
(Fig. 16) is also a safety feature that is only actuated when the boom is fully raised. For safety
reasons, the arms can only be folded in and out in this position.
13.1.1 Fold in
Preparation for the transport position:
-
Lift the linkage all the way out.
- Fold in the linkage.
- Lower the linkage so that they rest completely on the front and rear supports.
Attention!
Fold the boom out and in without interruption!
The arms can only be folded out and in when the machine is at a standstill, otherwise the folding
is locked electronically
13.2 Collision protection
Please note that the collision safety device is only intended for use in the event that you
unknowingly run into an obstacle that is no more than 2.5% of the total working width away from
the end of the boom.
Example:
For a 30 m course, the obstacle may be 0.75 m from the top.
The maximum permissible speed when hitting an obstacle is 4 km/h.
Attention!
The manufacturer does not provide any warranty for damage to the boom caused by driving into an
obstacle if the above conditions are not met.
Basically, you have to drive in such a way that you detect obstacles in time and lift or fold the
linkage over the obstacle.
Driving with partially folded linkage is forbidden!
