AIC 5000 Configuration
The AIC 5000 does not ship with EZChrom Elite software or
options pre-installed. This allows the AIC to be configured at the
customer site with the appropriate revision of software to match
the existing client/server installation. Before using the AIC it is
necessary to install the appropriate revision of EZChrom Elite and
options using the supplied USB memory stick. This process
involves two steps:
1. Preparing the USB memory stick by copying the necessary
installation files from the EZChrom Elite software and options
CDs.
2. Using the USB memory stick to install EZChrom Elite and
options to the AIC.
Once the USB memory stick has been prepared, it may be used to
install or upgrade the EZChrom Elite software and options on all of
the AICs in a client/server system.
To install and configure the AIC 5000, perform all of the following
steps, in the order presented.
Step 1. Copy EZChrom Elite folders to the USB memory stick
Using a computer with a CD-ROM drive and a USB port, insert the
USB memory stick (provided with the AIC 5000) into an available
USB port. Copy the Elite folders and Options software to the
memory stick as follows:
1. Check to make sure the USB memory stick is empty. If not,
delete ALL files and folders from the USB memory stick before
you begin.
2. Copy all of the folders (but NOT the files in the root) from the
Elite Options CD to the USB memory stick. Copy all of the
folders (but NOT the files in the root) from any separate Option
CDs you may have.
3. From the \Elite\AIC Image Update\ folder of the EZChrom
Elite Installation CD, copy the Elite folder to the USB memory
